Some large sites get PR back that they lost for example Youtube dropped to PR3 its now jumped to PR8 again. Have you had any changes since the update ?
There has been quite a few through out the big sites that lost PR.
I personally haven't seen any changes

Hi,
I don't care much on the pagerank value.
My site with no pr but having about 200 daily visits.
I think better focus on getting more real traffics (ie real members)
Pagerank is a trademark and just an index only.
Backslinks are importance too.
Good luck.
:)
The page rank has stopped now? It's been over a week.

Are you judging this by the google toolbar? if you are the google toolbar contains stale data which is unreliable at the best of times.

I noticed my google backlinks jump from 177 to 499 one week after the PR update, strange as this happens before a PR update not after.

Jesus! I'm still stuck on PR4, but my backlinks did jump for 200+ to 500+ recently. My website bath student accommodation (http://www.studentbunk.com) was out of the sandbox in oct, after 8 months.
YouTub belong to Google so you would expect that to be fixed pronto

I don't know if PR means much these days, infact I think PR is overated for what it's worth.
PR only mean something to webmaster (98% of Internet users are NOT webmasters)

G have lost the plot with the new pr algo. The fact that there own site (youtube) gets pr3 and they have to manually fix it proves it.

PR used to be the one of the factor in Google's algorithm while determining ranking of a site but not anymore. I don't care for PR now rather i work on getting links from relevant source no matter it have PR or not :)

Actually google and Yahoo has it's own criteria to increase the page rank and decrease the page rank.

PR is becoming more and more overrated because who is it actually supported by? THE USERS! Once they start having their way with it and using any unfair advantages it will stand out.
Also... if YouTube achieved PR8 why don't you try looking into what Google actually changed in order to meet the PR8 need.

Google PR sucks and needs to be thrown in the bin it means absolutly nothing serps wise and thats what matters not your PR.
Only thing PR matters to is people selling links which Google dont like so why do they still keep PR crazy if you ask me but hey. Google PR means almost as little as Alexa traffic rank another total waste of time and effort again only people who care about it are people who buy and sell links something the search engines dont like so why are they supporting it with these naf ways of rating sites?
All that matters to me in a website is real traffic stats, serps and what type of people use the site, not PR or alexa traffic rating.

I think PR is a good thing if you like to sell advertising space. The higher the better. Having said that my site is still 0 which i am not happy about.

Yeah, but it's really not that hard to generate a decent PR with a little bit of time and hard work... do a little more research on your keywords etc.

I'm working on raising the PR of domains that were PR4 before the nofollow issues, and now they are back to PR2 and P3.. about 6 of them.

Same here I had a couple of sites drop PR in the last update but I had not done anything on them for 6 months so no supprise to me really, I will soon get PR back up but to be honest I dont care about PR.
We still rank very much the same as we did before even with lower PR infact for certain main search terms we are doing better than ever, with lower PR.
